Lifting Equipment Sales & Rentals
Cranes are only one tool in the mechanical handling inventory: most offshore installations and vessels will have a substantial inventory of chain blocks, air winches, runway beams, slings, spreaders and other lifting/handling devices and accessories - some of which may require to be flame/explosion-proofed or ATEX certified.
As part of - or separate from - its crane management activities, Energy Cranes offer managed services for the specification, procurement, provision, certification/document control, management, maintenance and repair of these inventories.
How is this activity typically expressed?
Project Lifting Equipment Supply
You have a new project at the design or specification/procurement stage. You need a partner to design lifting plans to give you access to all areas for maintenance purposes - and then to specify, procure, supply and control the resulting permanently installed equipment and portable devices.
Working directly for operators and/or in partnership with major project engineering houses, Energy Cranes have substantial experience in these turnkey project roles - leading seamlessly into long-term lifting equipment management and maintenance contracts once the project is commissioned.
Rigging Loft Supply and Management
You have an installation or vessel with a wide variety of portable lifting gear requirements: you need on-board supply of controlled, certified lifting gear, compliant with stringent regulatory and best practice procedures such as LOLER.
Energy cranes will supply a rigging loft, delivered fully stocked to your installation. An Energy Cranes controller will log every issue and return, conducting certification and visual inspection checks prior to each issue. Every 6 months, your entire rigging loft and contents is changed out - one lift off, one lift on - to allow periodic inspection/maintenance and to ensure you that all lifting equipment on your installation is 'in date'
